My alarm didn't ring

Rise alarms are scheduled with Apple's AlarmKit and are designed to ring even in Silent mode and Focus. If one didn't:

  • Check the alarm is enabled and its days are set correctly.
  • Make sure Rise's alarm permission is granted in iOS Settings → Rise.
  • Keep the app installed — deleting Rise removes its alarms.
  • Avoid powering the phone off overnight; a switched-off iPhone cannot ring.

Still misbehaving? Email us with the alarm time and what happened — we take missed alarms seriously.

Wake missions

Each alarm carries a mission — pushups, barcode, sky photo, or math — chosen when you edit the alarm. Camera missions run entirely on your device and need camera permission (iOS Settings → Rise → Camera). The barcode mission unlocks with the exact code you registered, so re-register it if you switched toothpaste.

Subscriptions and refunds

Billing is handled by Apple. Manage or cancel your subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. To request a refund, use Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com.
